Bright's Creek Golf Club is a private gated community located in western North Carolina in Mill Spring. The course was designed by Tom Fazio and reopened in 2020. Before reopening the Better Billy Bunker system was installed to the green side bunkers, all sand in the fairway bunkers replaced and most all irrigation valves were replaced. The club is currently building an amenities center which includes a pool, fitness center, events area and bowling alley. The club is looking to hire an Assistant Superintendent to help manage our grounds staff and provide excellent playing conditions for our membership.

Requirements:

Degree in a turf related field

Previous experience as an Assistant or AIT is preferred

Work weekends and holidays as needed

Maintain a pesticide license

Strong work ethic and self-motivated

Reliable attendance

Responsibilities:

Crew management

Manage bent grass greens in summer heat

Apply chemicals and fertilizers in a responsible manor

Setup and calibrate sprayers and spreaders

Maintain chemical records and daily work log

Act as Superintendent in his absence

Provide a safe work environment for staff

Irrigation operation, maintenance and repair

Assist the Superintendent in all areas of course management

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
