Description:

The Assistant Facility Manager will assist the Facility Manager in the portfolio's day-to-day operations and ensure that all facilities services, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with WSFS policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties.
  • Respond promptly to requests for building maintenance, repairs, cleaning needs, etc. from building occupants, and follow through on the requests to their completion.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare reports of such statistical data as may be required to provide accurate and current assessment of facility management objectives.
  • Complete understanding of management contract, vendor agreements, and other building/facility contracts and all requirements contained therein.
  • Monitor and ensure that vendors comply with insurance requirements.
  • Proactively inspect the facilities and report back any findings or issues to the Facility Manager.
  • This position will require responding to after hours and weekend urgent requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in facilities management, business or another related field required.
  • Minimum three years’ relevant experience in facility management, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Prior experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and other facets of property operation and building management preferred.
  • Prior CMMS/Work Order Management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of facility management and constructions terms and concepts.
  • Ability to understand basic financial terminology. Process invoices for review by Facility Manager.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate work performed by fellows associates and outside contractors.
  • Proficient Microsoft office experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
