The North River Collaborative is seeking a new Assistant Executive Director.The North River Collaborative (NRC) is a multi-purpose educational organization formed in 1976 to serve as an extension of school districts. The member districts of Abington, Avon, Bridgewater-Raynham, East Bridgewater, Hanover, Holbrook, Rockland, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, and Whitman-Hanson work together to provide high quality, cost effective, educational programs and services including special education transportation. It is imperative that the next Assistant Executive Director possess strong facilitation and organizational skills and be comfortable in engaging in planning, communication, decision-making, problem solving and informational management.The Assistant Executive Director will work closely with the Executive Director in a hands-on approach to strategic program oversight and development with a focus on special education, transportation, personnel, policy and financial management. He/she will be capable of facilitating the implementation of the NRC strategic plan linked to students learning., fiscal management, personnel development and inter-organizational partnerships.

It is equally important that he/she understand and embrace a collaborative leadership style.Desired Core Competencies: Strong progressive leader with a passion for excellencePossesses qualities associated with innovation and ability to work with Executive Director, Coordinators, Staff and District representativesAbility to utilize /develop teams throughout the collaborative community to operate in a complementary and collaborative mannerDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making strategiesDemonstrated skill in enhancing quality of programming and organizational and financial efficiencyAbility to communicate effectively in both written and verbal modality to all constituentsProgressiveness with technologySkilled in maximizing the use of available resources and pursuit of grants/fund-raisingDesired Qualifications: Innovative educational leadership with vision and entrepreneurial spirit in areas of student educational programs, related services and the provision of quality special education transportationAdvanced degree in Educational Leadership, Special Education or related fieldMA licensure in Educational LeadershipFive or more years as a school district or collaborative administratorAbility to promote trust and confidence through integrity-based leadershipExcellent communication skillsAbility to utilize technology in communications and learningAwareness of emerging educational trends and strategies for leading collaborative and district personnel in effective changeStrong fiscal management and organizational skillsExperience and understanding of Human Resources and Personnel Management
