Position: Assistant Executive Director

Job Summary: The Assistant Executive Director (AED) will be responsible for providing support to the Executive Director in the management and administration of the organization. The AED will assist in the planning and implementation of programs and services and will provide leadership to volunteers. The AED will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to ensure the smooth operation of the organization and will act as a liaison between the Executive Director, volunteers, and the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that programs and services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide leadership volunteers, including recruitment and training.
  • Creation, monitoring, and follow up of eligible grants and funding opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Executive Director, staff, and the board of directors, providing regular updates and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and manage budgets, and to identify and pursue funding opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Represent the organization in the community and at various events, meetings, and conferences as required. Maintain an actively engaged presence on multiple social media platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Board of Directors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values.

· Willingness to travel as required to surrounding communities supported by Concho Valley Crime Stoppers

Preferred Experience (not required):

  • Experience in fund raising, grant writing, and donor relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, or a related field.

· Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.

· At least 5 years of experience in non-profit management or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
