Description:
Program Management:
  • Assists the development and implementation of programs that relate to the department goals
and vision
  • Leads the efforts with implementing programs based on the needs of the HRSA grant
  • Develop and present presentations on the programs objectives, projects, and outcomes related to
the grant and its initiatives
  • Liaise and network with state health departments, regional genetics networks, and other
stakeholders to manage deadlines and to ensure project deliverables are met for the HRSA grant
  • Provide technical support to sites to advance programmatic activities
  • Collaborate with team members internally and externally to make sure the program remains viable
  • Serve on committees
  • Write annual or quarterly reports for the governing grant agencies
  • Monitor sites for collection of data for evaluation purposes
  • Participate in the monitoring of all program related budgets for the Southeast Regional Genetics
Network
  • Collaborate with project directors, evaluators, and consumers to develop the agenda and activities
for the annual regional genetics network
  • Write and submit program materials for oral and poster presentations at conferences and/or
meetings
  • Develop new initiatives for tracking and counting program participants for data collection and
evaluation purposes
  • Co-lead the development of manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
  • Develop and write Internal Review Board (IRB) protocols for research focused projects

Administrative/logistical support:
  • Represent Emory and the program at various meetings, conferences, and events pertaining to the
program projects and deliverables
  • Oversees the development of standard operational procedures for program management and
sustainability
  • Ensures required records and documentation for the program are maintained
  • Submit and process invoices, payment requests, and reimbursements for all HRSA related projects
and consultants

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Assists in directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs.
  • Represents the organization at meetings, conferences and other events.
  • May develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of program(s).
  • Provides technical support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings and networking with affiliated groups.
  • Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines.
  • Participates in planning, administering and monitoring program related budgets.
  • Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure program(s) remain viable.
  • May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.
  • May write publishable articles and papers.
  • May supervise staff.
  • Oversees or assists in developing operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures required records and documentation are maintained.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
