Public Prep offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, internal equity, and budgeted amount for the role. The salary range for this position is $70,000- $80,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package. Primary Function & Position Overview:
The Assistant Director of Operations (ADO) fulfills their commitment to our mission by providing critical support and analysis for the Public Prep Network. This role reports to the Director of Operations. This position is responsible for managing a host of network-wide operational projects that support the charter school network. The role has significant project management (development of scope, project plans, data gathering and analysis, and project execution) responsibilities. The ADO must have effective communication and leadership skills to be able to navigate the entire organization to collaborate with colleagues to drive project-based work. Additionally, this role will have play a significant role in helping to structure processes, policies, and protocols for the Network.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting & School Information

    • Support Managing Director of Finance/Operations in the completion of all reporting as per city, state, federal, and authorizer requirements related to public school operations
    • Oversee development and execution of some network-wide data and measurement reports; will support development and execution of new Network and School-based operational protocols
    • Support COO in implementation and management of productivity tools

Special Projects

    • As necessary, take the lead on special projects as assigned by the Director of Operations as it relates to academics, human resources, and finance

Home Office Operations

    • Support day-to-day functioning of the home office, including coordinating back-up for front office support
    • Create and execute a set of operational policies, including purchasing, event planning, that allow all home office functional teams to focus on their areas of expertise

Event Planning and Support

    • Support logistics for large network-wide events including celebrations, graduation, professional development, or other network-wide gatherings
    • Support school teams with logistics planning for network-initiated field trips or advocacy events

Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
    • Master’s degree or PMI-certification preferred (MPA, MBA)
    • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
    • Significant project management experience
    • Exceptional organization, analytical, and planning skills
    • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working with data to produce analysis and reports
    • Strong familiarization with MS Office suite of productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Superior communication skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and effectively manage initiatives and multiple projects simultaneously
    • An ability to work collaboratively
