What You'll Do:
- Responsible for the general ledger month-end close and presentation of the balance sheet results for timely submission to Decoded's parent company as well as the preparation financial statements for Decoded's upper management review.
- Prepare, review and approve G/L entries and reconciliations for month-end close; review G/L for accuracy, reclassifications if needed, and completeness
- Monthly submission of various financial reporting packages; AR, AP, TBs, Intercompany, etc.
- Ensure accounting policies and procedures are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles as well as applied correctly & consistently
- Review, analyze and approve accounting schedules
- Review client WIP and accrued accounts weekly
- Working with Decoded senior financial management to ensure internal controls and polices are maintained, updated and implemented
- Coordinate and manage internal audits and external audits (including client audits)
- Assist with the cash flow forecast and management
- Manage all the intercompany transactions and resolve any intercompany mismatches
- Responsible for booking all the interoffice transactions
- Review and approve any new vendors that are set-up within our system with appropriate documentation.
- Oversee the expense report process to ensure both company and regulatory policies are adhere to as well as the timely reimbursement to company staff.
- Assist in the management of Decoded's operating expenses, which involves ongoing analysis with an aim for efficiencies and cost reductions where/if possible.
- Assist in ad hoc projects as needed
Who We're Looking For:
- 7+ years in Accounting or related role (ideally within the advertising/media industry).
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of accounting policies and operations (close the books & technical accounting)
- Good knowledge of IFRS with the experience to research and resolve accounting applications.
- Experience in operating within a division of publicly traded company as it relates to its internal controls over financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and auditing skills, with ability to research and reconcile complex accounts.
- Motivated professional capable of completing complex tasks and satisfying deadlines in an environment that is dynamic.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as a member of a team.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000- $130,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
