Assistant Controller

Malnove Packaging. a family-owned, nationwide folding carton manufacturer, seeks an Assistant Controller to be based in Omaha, NE.

The Assistant Controller Job

The Assistant Controller will lead the accounts payable and receiveables team, managing day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close activities, and internal financial reporting. The role will drive process improvements in accounting while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with GAAP. Other responsibilities include coordinating successful audits with external auditors and providing support for company tax filings.

The driven candidate will share responsibility in accounting ledgers, financial statements, calculating sales commissions and incentives, maintaining line of credit, and monitoring work performed by others in the AR/AP department.

The Successful Candidate must have the following experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Great Plains (GP) accounting software
• 3 years of experience managing others in accounting functions
