This statewide recruitment can be filled in the following locations: Kern, Shasta, Fresno, Los Angeles, Ventura, Alameda, Humboldt, Riverside, Sonoma, Sacramento, Monterey, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Luis Obispo, Orange, or San Joaquin County.
This position has an option to telework and is subject change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.
Starting June 2022, selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office. Expenses for Onboarding attendance would be paid by State Fund.
Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment.
Desired Qualifications:
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Possess a positive attitude and be highly motivated
- Have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Manage (plan, organize, direct and control) a unit responsible for protectively adjusting, finalizing and controlling a case assignment and/or (a) specialized assignment(s)
- Recruit, hire, train develop, appraise and discipline staff
- Ensure timely and accurate liability decisions and benefit provisions
- Ensure timely, current, accurate, and adequate estimates and case documentation to protect the fiscal integrity of State Fund
- Manage and coordinate special projects as assigned
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- At least three years of workers compensation claims adjusting and/or workers compensation management/administration experience in the last five years

SALARY: $6,436- $8,617 per month depending on experience
