Job description
The Town of Great Barrington is seeking a part-time Building Inspector. The position is responsible for daily administrative, technical, fieldwork related to the inspection, and enforcement of local and state building codes and zoning bylaws.
Requirements:
- Applicants are required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A class D Driver's License in good standing and a reliable vehicle, is required.
- Preferred qualifications include State certification as a local building inspector or a certified building official.
- Five years of experience in building construction or design supervision; either a bachelor's in a building-related field or an associate with additional field experience.
