*ASSISTANT MANAGER* The Assistant Manager is the Manager's "right hand"- there to assist the Manager in all phases of operation of the property, and to act on Manager's behalf in his/her absence. A good Assistant Manager will seize every opportunity to learn more about operation of the apartment community. Duties may range from picking up trash to leasing an apartment to serving an eviction notice - all in the same day. He/She should always be in training to take on the responsibilities of a Community Manager. *The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Manager are, but not limited to*: *Assuming Manager's Duties *- He/She performs duties on behalf of the Manager; and in the Manager's absence, is responsible for the continued operation of the property. The Assistant Manager should attempt to become familiar and knowledgeable with all areas listed under "Community Manager". The Manager and Assistant Manager should maintain total communication regarding property activities at all times. *Leasing Apartments *- The Assistant Manager should be familiar with all market conditions and leasing techniques and possess the ability to effectively show and close prospective residents. In the absence of a Leasing Agent, the Assistant Manager will assume the duties of that position. *Resident Relations/Rent Collection *- The Assistant Manager should be able to handle resident complaints and have good public relations at all times. He/She is often expected to handle all such situations not requiring the Manager's immediate attention. The Assistant Manager will often times assume the responsibility of maintaining rental collection records and follow through on delinquent residents. *Personal Development *- The Assistant Manager's primary source of knowledge will come from basic on-the-job training. He/She should be responsive enough to learn from mistakes, contemporaries, and supervisors alike. As his/her on-the-job experience level grows, he/she should attempt to increase knowledge and capabilities by attending seminars and reading literature relating to property management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
