8-5pm,M-F

Summary/Objective of Position:

This position performs specialized assessment duties in support of academic schools collecting artifacts/assessments, maintenance of associated records, database and academic division plans within the Office of the Provost. This position Success contributes to the collection and reporting of accurate and complete data, This position reports to the Provost.

  • Develops, administers and manages internal surveys, shared drive and database.
  • Gathers assessment for each school, store on the College shared drive and conduct annual inventories.
  • Processes and records assessment data requests.
  • Assessment information as requested by Schools or Academic personnel.
  • Creates and updates summaries and analyses for assessment data..
  • Distributes, files and updates assessment data for the Provost Council.
  • Assists Schools with the Academic Program Review process.
  • Assists in the development and review of reports for the Higher Learning Commission.
  • Publishes assessment reports on the website.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience


Minimum:

Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

Preferred:

Bachelor Degree with 3 years experience in Higher Education and Assessment background.


Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of data analysis principles, using statistics, trends and regressions.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods and principles.
  • Knowledge of survey development and implementation principles.
  • Knowledge of college policies and procedures.

Skills:

  • Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Abilities:

Ability to work in groups and teams.
Ability to work collaboratively with Siih hasin Committee (Assessment Committee)

Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel:

  • The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table, or while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects and distinguishes between shades of color.
  • The work is typically performed in an office.

Other Requirement(s):

Navajo Speaking preferred.
