MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or Human Services

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Full or limited license preferred (LLBSW, LBSW, BA, BS) QMHP considered

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years’ experience providing services to individuals who severe and persistent mental illness. Experience with crisis intervention, strong skills of working as part of a team and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment, Solution-Focused treatment, community networking, and knowledge of substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and treatment of emotionally impaired or mentally ill individuals.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Shiawassee Health & Wellness is expanding the intake and emergency services department! This position includes being part of a dynamic team of clinicians by providing support in the assessment role to assist in meeting the needs of our clients. General responsibilities include responding to requests for services through intake eligibility screens, pre-admission screens for psychiatric hospitalizations, crisis intervention provided both via telephone and in person, as well as coordinating services and referrals with other community resources. This role requires the ability to be well organized, manage multiple tasks/projects, and prioritize well.
