Job description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Pallet/Crate Assembler position with a packaging manufacturer located in Tualatin, OR. This position is full-time with openings on day shift and swing shift! The person in this position will produce crates and pallets to shipping requirements and customer specifications.
PAY: $19.00-$21/hr
Pallet/Crate Assembler Responsibilities:
- Determine job requirements on crates to be produced.
- Read route sheet and blueprints.
- Proof the route sheet for completeness and accuracy.
- Locate and pull materials required to complete job.
- Produce the product from the Bill of Materials (BOM), which accompanies the blueprint and describes the production procedure.
- Notify supervisor of any material or mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Pallet/Crate Assembler Requirements:
- Ability to work individually and as a team member.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, staple/nail guns, glue rollers, power screw driver, drill press, chop saw, band saw, tape measure.
- Ability to read and follow directions.
- Mechanical aptitude to operate machines is a plus.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work either a day shift (7AM-3:30PM, OT schedule is 5AM-3:30PM and occasional Saturdays) OR a swing shift 3:30PM-12AM with overtime schedules of 3:30PM-2AM and occasional Saturday shift hours (1:30PM-10PM).
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (employer is THC friendly).
