Art Department Intern: Description

Seventh Story, located in Franklin, TN, is seeking an art department intern who uses art to tell stories. A great candidate will be creative and artistic, like to paint walls and canvases, can doodle, can use procreate in an iPad, likes Photoshop, dabbles with Premiere, likes to make props, stop motion videos, likes to photos, knows how to use a color palette, has design opinions. Also knowing a few film production pieces like, what is a c-stand, will be helpful.

At Seventh Story, you will participate in all stages and areas of production, focusing on pre-production and art department. If you're looking to expand your knowledge of filmmaking and production in a fast-paced, creative environment, then let’s talk. This is a paid internship.

Something to note, many of our clients and videos are in the faith market.

Responsibilities

- Draw, Design, Doodle, Create and Craft
- Assist in the creation of stop-motion videos
- Basic knowledge of DSLR cameras and lighting
- Work with production designer to create design elements, props, and set pieces.
- Act as Production Assistant on film shoots

Skills & Experience Required

- Create sketches, cartoons, and have design skills.

- Basic experience in stop motion animation

- Basic experience in film/video production

- Availability of 35 hours per week

Preferred

- Basic understanding of Adobe Premiere & After Effects a plus.

- Previous internships or job experiences in a film production office or art department a plus.
