Protective Security Specialist (PSS)
Part Time/Full Time

Night Shift 9:00pm - 9:00am
Veteran owned and operated Protective Security Company that specializes in the Cannabis Industry, immediate openings available, opportunities for growth within the company.

PSS Traits:

Easy Going: PSS must be easy going, not allowing everyday stresses to cause immediate anger or ill-prepared actions.

Honest: This trait is extremely important in continuing good relationships with other PSS members and in establishing and maintaining image to our clientele.

Intelligent: PSS should be able to understand a wide range of potential security concerns, identify them and respond accordingly.

Good Conversation Skills: The is essential in performing interface with staff, members and clientele.

Work Well With Others: The necessity of working well with a wide range of people from different backgrounds is vital in working within the team and with other entities.

Punctual: Punctuality is necessary in order to maintain positive relationships with team members and clientele.

Clean Cut- Good Hygiene: PSS must continually project a professional image, recognizing that their appearance reflects on the other team members and clientele.

Good Decision Maker: A successful PSS must be able to make sound decisions under stress and during all daily operations.

Good Firearms Skills: PSS must possess good defensive tactics in order to deter, detect and respond accordingly to any imminent threats.

Common Sense: This quality is vital to all PSS operations.

Must have Concealed Pistol License or be able to obtain one within first 45 days.

Maintain a strong, visible point of control for both the interior and exterior of the facility at all times. Establish and cultivate a safe and secure environment for patients, vendors, staff and visitors.
Fully comprehend and enforce all facility security policies/procedures for patients, vendors, staff and visitors.
Conduct routine and random foot patrols throughout the facility, inspect the physical condition of the facility’s security measures and report any suspicious behavior or activity immediately.
Practice effective communication with PSS team members, patients, vendors, staff and visitors, to control the flow of inbound/outbound foot traffic in a safe and efficient manner.
Deter and defuse any incidents with difficult persons with sound conflict resolution skills,.
Proactively monitor CCTV stations to identify active areas of concern and respond appropriately.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR ARMED PLACEMENT:
Duty belt and at minimum, Level II Holster.
Well maintained Firearm
PSS must be in good physical condition, enabling them to perform the full range of protective security specialist duties. PSS must be fully capable of performing work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion under either normal or emergency conditions.
