Richmond County Government is seeking a Full-Time Director for the Public Transit System.
AREA OF RICHMOND TRANSIT (ART) COORDINATOR – Richmond County Government is recruiting for a Director of Transportation Services. This position is responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance and supervision of the Richmond counties public transit system. Job duties include performing administrative and technical work in coordinating and providing transportation to clients of public and private human service agencies, the general public, and others as appropriate; responsible for personnel management, grant administration, program development and planning, training, individual agency and system reporting, and fiscal management. Employee operates with considerable latitude which requires discretion and judgment to make independent professional and managerial decisions. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Manager and the Richmond Interagency Board of
Directors.
Minimum education and experience: Bachelor Degree in business administration, social work or human services, or a related field with at least two years’ experience in planning, management, and/or supervisory work and progressive experience in transportation planning or an equivalent combination of related course work, training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Beginning salary range: $46,000-$51,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Paid holidays, annual leave time, sick leave time, petty leave time. Will accept sick leave balance transfer from another NC local government employer after one year of service, annual leave time will accrue based on years of service in NC local government retirement system.
