Overview:
The OMS Solutions Architect is a technical person, a subject matter expert having hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), and is capable of leading the end to end implementation for a given project. This individual should have designed and implemented highly scalable and performance intensive OMS solutions. They should be capable of understanding the business goals, assessing product capabilities, and driving the technical architecture.

This person will interface with business partners and will be responsible for making technical design decisions, providing recommendations and implementation solutions, and lead project estimation efforts in OMS. Additional responsibilities may include: providing knowledge to other technical team members, and project coordination with on and off-shore support/development resources.
Responsibilities:
  • Review high level business requirements for Omni-channel solutions for an IBM Sterling OMS Suite implementation
  • Define technical architecture to meet business requirements
  • Provide project/work estimates
  • Lead design sessions and code reviews of extensions and customizations of the IBM Sterling OMS development framework
  • Develop high level functional design documents and business workflows
  • Design, develop, maintain, extend applications and implement projects on the IBM Sterling OMS suite
  • Assist in interface document creation and mappings to ensure that IBM Sterling OMS follows and functions in a Service Oriented Architecture
  • Provide technical expertise in establishing processes and procedures and best practices
Other Functions:
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide and direct on and off-shore support/development resources as needed
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.
Required Knowledge:
  • Experience in Java development on IBM Sterling OMS extensions.
  • Knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS configuration and administration.
  • Experience in Linux, Oracle and Middleware technologies.
Experience Required:
  • 8-10 years of experience in information technology.
  • At least 3 years experience in IBM Sterling OMS (COM, DOM, SOM) as Solutions Architect.
  • At least 5 years experience in IBM Sterling OMS (COM, DOM, SOM) development.
  • Hands on knowledge on CI/CD pipeline and tools like Jenkins.
  • Hands on knowledge on Java/Dojo/angular application. Nice to have Spring boot and Microservice framework knowledge.
  • Hands on Knowledge on SQL and No SQL database (Mongo DB/Cassandra).
  • Familiar with Cloud Technologies like AWS/Azure.
  • Familiar and hands on experience with Docker/Container/Kubernetes.

  • High degree of data accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with business leads and vendors and other technical team members
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Ability to commit to and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of success and a strong appetite for technology.
