Reference Data Analyst
Location: Westfield Center, OH Home Office centric hybrid work environment or open to remote workers within our operating territory

You will be involved in building out our new Reference Data Library! This role will be part of the research and alignment of decodifying data with a focus on our various source systems, along with ensuring the alignment of enterprise reference data. This role will be part of the foundation we are setting as we built out our Information Governance Strategies. This opportunity will include the management of processes, standards, capabilities that enable and promote the use of well governed data that supports core business processes, and self-service analytics across the enterprise. Your mission will be to bring people across the organization together around the shared purpose of leveraging meaningful, consistent, and harmonized reference data. Through a consultative approach, you will be a trusted partner throughout the enterprise to advise on improving data solutions. This role will aid in one of our Enterprise Strategies of moving the enterprise forward as a data-driving company.

Working under moderate supervision, work within accepted processes to collect, organize, harmonize, and store reference data. Incorporates the use of data, where appropriate, to effectively communicate the complex concepts, promote the content, and adoption for consumption by our business partners. Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to derive findings and advises of potential impacts, options, and provides recommendations as it relates to reference data integrations, usage, and quality. Works with business partners to identify and align reference data needed to enable key business processes. Utilizes knowledge of and experience with relevant tools, technologies, and techniques to perform a moderate level of analyses on the usage of related data.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)
  • 2+ years’ experience in an analytical position with demonstrated ability to provide reporting and analytics of moderate to complex nature.
  • Have a fundamental foundation and understanding of insurance products.
  • Ability to communicate with/between business and IT partners.
  • Ability to create reports and do research in the tools/assets we have today (Excel, DBVisualizer, SQL, Sharepoint, etc.).
