Job Title: Aqua Instructor
Department: Group Fitness
Job Description:
- Responsible for teaching Aqua classes of varying formats
- Must comply with stipulations set by American Arthritis Foundations and generally accepted aquatic standards and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop safe and effective aquatic exercise classes for groups of various fitness levels.
- Responsible for instructing all aquatic fitness participants, and giving appropriate options and modifications.
- Plan routines, select music, and choose appropriate movements for well balanced, whole body workouts.
- Provide safe and effective instruction of equipment used during class.
- Maintain the safety of aquatic class participants.
- Maintain and record participant information and data.
- Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
- Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Certifications/Requirements:
- Must hold current aquatic certification from recognized and accredited board or organization.
- Must have current CPR/AED certification.
Hours:
- Varied, including evenings and weekends.
