Kern Heating & Cooling is currently hiring for a full-time to install, maintain, and diagnose heating and air conditioning equipment in the Beach Park, IL area. This heating and cooling apprenticeship position earns a competitive wage of $15 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.

DAY-TO-DAY

This full-time heating and cooling apprenticeship typically works Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with flexibility based on availability.

In this apprenticeship, you are eager to learn! Every day, you ask questions, observe, and emulate the values of Kern Heating & Cooling. You seize opportunities to go out in the field and assist our lead installers. As you assist them and help increase their efficiency, they mentor and train you on everything from how to establish customer rapport to how to service and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment. You help to maintain properly stocked inventory levels, ensure the correct equipment is installed, and keep an organized job site. Also, you assist in properly staging jobs and completing accurate paperwork on time.

You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. Always professional, you enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. Adhering to a quality checklist, you exceed customer expectations by accomplishing the highest quality installations. You also participate in classes and formal exercises in order to expand your knowledge and skills. By working closely with the lead installer and installation manager, you complete jobs on time and under budget. You are excited to be part of our team and can't wait to advance in this stable and well-paid career as an HVAC technician!

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN APPRENTICE HVAC INSTALLER

• General knowledge or education in the heating and air conditioning industry
• Knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes
• Mechanical inclination
• Valid driver's license
