JOB SUMMARY: This position will assist with the management and implementation of RAYUS Women's Imaging software applications. The product manager's responsibilities include gathering feature requests, creating product specifications, coordinating sprints with internal development teams, communicating organizational needs and product roadmap with third party vendor, performing QA and scheduling releases. This role will also include third level application support and team member training. To support this, the product manager will be expected to develop workflow documentation and training materials. To be successful in this role, the product manager should be able to identify user needs, communicate effectively with stakeholders, leadership and customers, and work with cross-functional teams to successfully manage product releases and implementation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(55%) Product Lifecycle Management

  • Leads or assists in the design phase and participates in the testing phase, including design and testing of prototypes and orchestration and sign-off on acceptance test results to ensure design integrity
  • Oversees conception, background research, requirements writing, interfacing with Development and QA
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers, software engineers, strategic technology partners, etc. to interview, research, analyze, and derive business, functional, and non-functional requirements for products. Includes but not limited to, development roadmap, backlog management, upgrades and decommissions.
  • Creates and executes acceptance tests and document results while assisting the entire organization throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Acts as liaison between internal customers & software engineering team
  • Translates business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications
  • Manages and supports piloting new technologies, collaborates with business stakeholder to monitor effectiveness.
  • Evaluates and documents outcome of pilot program in preparation for final business decisions to deploy technology (market/enterprise-wide).

(40%) Application Support

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and partners with stakeholder and strategic technology partners to maintain high-level knowledge of application, workflows and operational needs
  • Provides 3rd level support of various business applications/solutions, and trains business partners/stakeholders, IT support teams and end-users

(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements:

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience in related field
  • 3+ years of experience working on customer facing application, preferably as product manager or product lead
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience defining requirements or designing data-focused or analytical applications

Preferred:

  • Experience in health care data processing
  • Experience in working with clinical & administrative, healthcare data
  • Health care industry software design experience or product management experience
  • Experience with Agile/ iterative development methodologies or consumer facing application development

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Requires use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
  • Requires computer-related activities for extended periods of time
  • Requires the ability to travel (approximately 1-2 weeks per month)
  • Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key
  • Requires some travel, varies by project and business needs
  • May require some lifting, bending and stooping
