Job Profile Summary

CAI is hiring! We are in immediate need of an Application Support Analyst. This is a full time position.

This is a remote position. The Application Support Analyst must be able to work east coast times and be based in the United States. This position is 1st shift, Wednesday – Sunday, 8:30am - 5pm EDT. Preference for individuals who can work any shift. Due to our end client, candidates must be eligible to work in the US without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Field incoming requests from end users to resolve process, application and software issues within servers, databases and other mission-critical systems
  • Communicate/escalate application related problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and unit leaders
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on applications and servers
  • Use knowledge and judgment to diagnose issues and problems as they are reported into the Service Desk and resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure that the Service Desk mailbox is routinely monitored and that all inquiries and requests are resolved.
  • Isolates problem trends and ensures that troubleshooting efforts are completed for recurring problems.
  • Provides leadership by projecting a positive attitude and providing learning incentives.

Experience/Education Required

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Unix and Linux Command Line experience/knowledge.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL Server) strong preferred
  • Exposure to C/C++ is a plus
  • Ability to assess each customer/employee IT knowledge levels.
  • Ability to deal with difficult callers.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit punctuality and communicate effectively.

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
