Zurich North America is looking for a Global Platform Support Specialist or Consultant to join the Global Risk Engineering Platform Support Team in the North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL in a hybrid role 1-2 times in the office a week.

In this role you will support the Risk Engineering department with system issues, root cause analysis and implement solutions to provide value added services for improving the use of technology within the Risk Engineering department.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Act as systems Subject Matter Expert; troubleshoot systems as escalated by the first level support team while providing guidance on functionality.
• Support data quality management by identifying and executing business procedures to assure the accuracy of application data.
• Support the development of applications by understanding the requirements of customers and recommending application performance improvements, to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Assisting with planning and reviewing training materials for each software release.
• Supporting the implementation activities and software product launch such as release communications and training as required.
• Develop standardized processes to simplify the work of the team and ensure accountability, collaborating with other teams as necessary.

This role will be filled at either Global Platform Support Specialist or Consultant The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Required Qualifications:

Global Platform Support Specialist

• Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

OR

Global Platform Support Consultant:

• Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance Industry Experience
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Data analysis and identification of trends/patterns
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and transfer knowledge to others in formal and informal contexts
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Experience with MS Dynamics
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with MS Excel and PowerBI
