A rapidly growing real estate investment firm is looking for a reliable and precise professional to help us properly maintain our accounts payable information. The Accounts Payable Specialist will maintain current accounts and assist in invoicing functions. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can maintain payables for multiple entities including operating real estate properties, work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly statements with vendors.

Responsibilities Include:

*Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements

*Maintain payables for multiple entities including corporate and multiple multifamily properties

*Obtain and maintain vendor tax and insurance forms including Form W-9

*Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts

*Responsible for paying all sales tax on appropriate invoices and making a note of each tax payment made

*Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments

*Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate

*Enter invoices into Yardi; cut checks to vendors

Job Requirements:

*Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting a plus

*2+ years experience in accounts payable

*Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products

*Excellent attention to detail

*Strong organizational ability

*Knowledge of Yardi property management software

*Effective corporate communications skills

*Ability to consistently meet all deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
