Analyst Trainee - County of Bergen

Department of Health Services – Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services

Under the direction of a supervisor in a local department, or agency, as a trainee and productive worker, receives on the job training in analytic practices/procedures and their application; completes assignments which will provide practical analyst experience; does other related work.

Knowledge and Job Responsibilities: (may include but not limited to)

· Knowledge of the methods used to collect and analyze data.

· Knowledge of report writing methods.

· Under direction, gathers information to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned programs relating to addition services.

· Ability to prepare reports, charts, and graphs.

· Recommends program changes; does other related work.

· Ensures the scheduling, convening, and documenting of program meetings designed to bring together community stakeholders to promote substance use awareness and education programming, treatment services. Participates in meetings as assigned.

· Supports Division efforts in promoting countywide programs and services through event support.

· Responds to community inquiries about mental health and substance use services.

· Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisory staff.

· Ability to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

Education Requirements:

· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.

· Peer Recovery Specialist trained (preferred).

Schedule:

· Per Diem.

· Hours per week between 26 and 29 / on site.

Other:

· Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the review, analysis, and evaluation of operating programs in an agency or organization.

· Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Excellent computer skills.
