Analyst Grant Applications/Program Monitor – Division of Human Services

Under direction, analyzes applications for grants submitted by departments of the jurisdiction to determine whether the grant requested is consistent with the needs and priorities of the jurisdiction; does related work as required.

Job Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

· Reviews proposed applications of grants by agencies of the jurisdictions.

· Collects pertinent information to determine whether jurisdiction needs materials or services to be supplied under the grant.

· Responsible for reviewing State and Federal requests for proposals to identify potential new funding opportunities.

· Determines priorities to be accorded various grants based upon established policies.

· Write proposals for new grant and funding opportunities for the Division.

· Responsible for the oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all current grants and contracts.

· Prepare and submit county, state and federal grant applications and annual renewals.

· Maintains positive relationships with grant project officers and grant funders.

· Ensures adherence to documentation requirements as identified by regulatory agencies.

· Work with supervisors and staff at all levels of the Division to ensure programs are meeting goals and objectives of grants and contracts.

· Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

Schedule:

· Up to 20 hours per week / Part Time

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree, preferably in English or related field.

Other Requirements:

· (3) years’ + work experience in a grant writing and grant management, or in a marketing or administrative department with heavy emphasis on business writing or technical writing.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word).

· Municipal/government/nonprofit experience preferred.
