Day program coaches will assist participants who are diagnosed with moderate to severe intellectual and physical disabilities with vocational interests that align with their desires, abilities, and skills. Day program coaches must be compassionate, professional, and possess the ability to work with a diverse population.

Job Duties:

• Work with clients on a one-to-one basis daily.
• Implement the client’s objectives and behavior support plans as instructed.
• Assist clients with their personal care needs (ADLs) as necessary to maintain hygiene.
• Report all incidents, behaviors, and occurrences to Supervisor and on to the progress notes packet daily.
• Read clients' ISP and understand their target behaviors, objectives, and target goals.
• Collect client’s behaviors instances daily onto Behavior Data Sheet.
• Work with clients to meet their target goals which includes socialization, choice-making, community integration, sensory stimulation, and communication skills.
• Utilize effective oral/written communication
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and persons with developmental disabilities
• Maintain confidentiality

Requirements

• Must be available 9 am-3 pm Monday-Friday
• Have a valid California ID in good standing
• Have access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Clear a Live Scan background check
• Possess a reliable, responsible attitude
• Must have a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
• Must be Adult CPR/First Aide Certified by the American Heart Association (May complete prior to first day on the job)
• Ability to follow instructions and submit all reports in a timely manner

Salary Description

$17.50 an hour
