Position Title: Agricultural Mechanic / Technician

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Hours: Adjusted for season, 4–10-hour shifts, starting time of 6 am

Location: Cheney/Spangle, WA

What you'll do:

This position serves to provide Qualterra with an individual who will work primarily in the field at the installation site/sites and involve a combination of indoor and outdoor operation.

· Run and maintain the Biomass Processing Units.

· Off-load and bag biochar – totes and 1 cu ft bags.

· Maintain and clean the site to maintain a safe and professional appearance.

· Maintain Inventory of Tools and Equipment.

· Accounts for time and materials used in various tasks.

· Performs Diagnostics, Repairs, and Upgrades.

· Follow safety rules and regulations.

· Provide feedback to engineering department to promote system development.

· Other duties as assigned.

What you'll contribute to our team:

· Machinery Operation.

· General Knowledge of major system components.

· Knowledge of trade specific tools.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent.

· Driver’s License / Good driving record as determined by the company

· Proof of Auto Insurance

· Ability to travel to rural areas for daily work.

· Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly.

· Expertise with material handling.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and repair experience.

· Experience with electromechanical systems - diagnose and repair equipment

· Welding experience is a plus

· CDL is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
