Job description

Build relationships with new and existing customers to sell new and used agricultural equipment and other services.
Responsibilities:

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
• Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
• Knows and follows a defined sales process
• Promote TTG resources like MyTTG, John Deere Operations Center and JD-Link service.
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
• Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
• Other appropriate responsibilities assigned by manager

Requirements:

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business or other area preferred. High School Diploma, GED equivalent required

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of agriculture and compact construction equipment
• Demonstrated understanding of farming operational practices
• Strong work ethic with high ethical standards
• Ability to self-motivate and have confidence to achieve results
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of office software experience and computer skills
• Excellent relationship building skills

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
• View computer monitors and use keyboard

Experience

• 2+ years Sales Experience in Agriculture or other related industry
