YMCA Camp Campbell Child Care seeks passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our after school program team! Part time and full time positions available!

Child Care Teachers play an integral role in the development and delivery of the after school program. They have a unique opportunity to support students throughout the school year in making new friends, growing academically, and being positive members of their community.

The Child Care Teachers are responsible for general supervision of youth and teens, planning and implementing activities, and supporting the child care site director with various administrative duties.

The Child Care Teachers will be offered opportunities for professional development and trainings to help build their youth work careers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience working with youth and/or teens.

2. Certified in CPR and First Aid (or be certified within 30 days of hire).

3. Complete YMCA child abuse prevention within 30 days of hire.

4. Provide proof of negative tuberculosis test.

5. A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education Credits at the college level

6. A passion and enthusiasm for working with youth

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supervises a group of children.

2. Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.

3. Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.

4. Attends staff meetings and trainings.

5. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.

6. Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.

7. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.87 - $25.47 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Boulder Creek, CA 95006: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
