Play Sports Academy (PSA) is a science-driven approach and game-based youth sports program currently covering both soccer and basketball. We are dedicated to holistically developing young individuals to help them achieve their maximum potential, both as a person and a player, on and off the field. Through our after-school enrichment program, we partner with student-athletes and parents to share the DNA of play and learning through sport.

Play Sports Academy is seeking innovative, forward thinking and hardworking individuals to join the academy’s coaching staff. The Coach will be responsible for the delivery of sports coaching sessions that are delivered at Toluca Lake Elementary School and other schools in the area.

Key responsibilities include:

• To plan and deliver effective coaching sessions in line with the PSA curriculum
• Manage the upkeep of all coaching equipment
• Liaise with parents when necessary in person
• Create a special environment at each school

Candidates must have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, along with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative. It is essential that candidates have proven experience in working with children aged from 6 to 16 years old, preferably within a child oritentated environment. Finally, we are looking for flexible, positive, resilient and determined candidates.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• After school
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Childcare / Coaching / Teaching: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
