Journey School Lynnwood (JSL) is looking for an after-hours cleaner to join our cleaning staff that can handle the “Journey Dirty” of JSL. We’re looking for a cleaning specialist who likes cleaning, is detail oriented, has pride in the work being performed, able to work independently, has good communication and takes feedback well. We hope you’re ready to put on your gloves and scrub up with us!

Cleaner Responsibilities

• Deep Cleaning of bathrooms, dining room, classrooms and other general areas of the school.
• Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
• Sanitizing all touch-points around the school
• Emptying trash, recycle and compost bins, servicing restrooms and wiping down communal surfaces
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Tackle heavy cleaning jobs upon request
• Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris
• Notify the leadership team of any repairs required
• Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately
• Other duties as identified in the cleaning check-list

Cleaner Skill Requirements

• Detail oriented
• Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods
• Excellent organizational skills a must
• Excellent communication skills and takes feedback well
• Is honest, has integrity and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
• Has pride in the work performed

Job Type: Part-time 25 hrs/wk.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00+ per hour DOE

• 401K Match (after 90 day probationary period)
