Forge Forward, Inc. is searching for an Afloat Systems Engineer in our Panama City, FL office or potentially in Norfolk, VA. Requires a minimum of three (3) years or more experience in U.S. Navy Afloat and Expeditionary systems.

Will provide underway and remote end-to-end C4I systems support on U.S. Navy ships during the training and operational phases. Will embark for up to 60 days and travel to Navy areas of operations. While not embarked, position will provide remote assistance to other embarked Afloat Systems Engineers as well as provide end-to-end technical support for IT systems providing subject matter expertise for Navy's C4I Afloat Networks and Expeditionary networks.

Will troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to resolve and optimize system employment and assist onboard technicians. May be required to provide on the job training to assist them in day-to-day operations. Ideal candidate will be a prior U.S. Navy Afloat Electronics Technician, Information Systems, or Information Technician with experience across tactical network and satellite communications systems.

Requirements:
-U.S. Navy A School training in either Electronics Technician, Information Systems, or Information Technician. Bachelor’s degree desired.
-Must be IAT Level II certified including the some or a mix of the following certifications:
MCSE or MCSA
CCNA / CCNP
CompTIA Linux+
CompTIA Security+ CE
-US citizen with active TS clearance and current SSBI.

Functional Responsibilities and Skills:
-Experience with afloat and expeditionary systems including CANES, ISNS, ADNS, CENTRIXS, SCI, NETC2, and JEXC2.
-Experience with ACAS/HBSS and running vulnerability scans.
-Experience with storage solutions experience (netapp, VMware, Nutanix).
-Ability to independently troubleshoot technical problems by analyzing the problem and applying a methodology to resolve the problem.
-Ability to provide technical assistance and training to end users.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with Navy C4I Systems.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
