Admissions Specialist Purpose: Assist in ensuring that all applications for enrollment are processed in a professional manner and admit all eligible applicants as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

70% Client Applications:

  • Provide program information to the public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Send out client applications as soon as possible when requested.
  • Complete applications over the phone to expedite entry or referral to more suitable program as quickly as possible.
  • Enter required information in the application database each time an application is sent out, received, or additional information is obtained.
  • Follow up on all applications sent within three business days.
  • Process applications as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Review all client applications and insure that sufficient information is obtained to assist in determining whether or not the applicant is a fit for our program.
  • Network with the social service, judicial community with professionalism and etiquette
  • Assist in scheduling a time and date for admission on all approved applications.
  • File non-accepted applications and enter appropriate information in application database.
  • Notify the Admissions Supervisor of any problems or concerns encountered.

20% Client Admissions:

  • Assist clients in compliance with established procedures.
  • Prepare and chart admission forms for proper completion.
  • Enter required information into the client database for each client admitted.

Properly preparing the client record folder including the application, admission forms, and other necessary documents.

  • Assist in ensuring that GRH application forms are properly completed and submitted to the Social Services Coordinator.
  • Notify the Admissions Supervisor of any problems or concerns encountered.

10% Other:

  • Assist with the call log
  • Assist with the receptionist desk
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or senior management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience in an admissions, administrative or customer service position
  • Strong ability to relate to people with life-controlling problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Very well organized.
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with competing deadlines in stressful environments.
  • Ability to remain on task and follow through projects to their completion.
  • Documented 1 year freedom from chemical use problems
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the organization and dedicated to the spiritual restoration of hurting adults and troubled teens.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Ability to successfully complete background check process.
