Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is looking for an amazing, energetic person to fill the position of Admissions Coordinator at our facility.

The Admissions Coordinator is a critical role within our facility. In this position, you will communicate in a timely manner with hospitals and all referral resources. You will be communicating with family members and the interdisciplinary team to ensure the admissions process is seamless. You will effectively and timely communicate with the marketing team while helping to maintain and grow the daily census.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Consistently monitor and identify any operational areas that could be affecting admissions and report to administration and the corporate team and assist in creating systems to resolve issues
  • Support the marketing outreach efforts by attending functions/events to help create and maintain the facility’s positive image, build relationships, and increase referral and admissions volume
  • Review and explain visitors and guest privileges, restrictions, resident care procedures, etc., as appropriate
  • Communicate with hospitals in assisting the team in setting up admissions/preparing all needs upon admission
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians and, community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facility and maintaining good rapport and facility reputation
  • Ensure financial verification is accurate and complete before the patient is admitted to the facility and communicated to the interdisciplinary team
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processes
  • Complete and report monthly statistics to your team

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in Admissions in a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Must have knowledge in Medicare requirements and insurance providers i.e., Medicare rules PDPM, HMO rules: RUGS II & III, Medicare prescription plans
  • Knowledge of EMR software systems
  • Must have knowledge of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, all insurances
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship with New Jersey Hospitals is preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required
