Assisted Living Administrator Position Summary: The Administrator provides leadership and direction for overall operations to ensure delivery of quality care and resident centered services in accordance with all laws, regulations, and facility standards. Implements policies for and provides oversight of hospitality focus, service delivery goals, and financial objectives. Manages budget to meet community needs and company goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must have bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) or more years of successful operational experience in senior housing or hospitality preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in residential services preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable of federal and state industry regulations
  • You have a minimum of three to five years of experience in an operations role
  • You have an Administrator’s license or certificate per state requirements

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Knows and understands how to apply Washington state statutes and administrative rules related to the operation of an assisted living facility
  • Meets the administrator qualification requirements:
  • At least twenty-one years old
  • Qualified to perform the administrator's duties:
  • Directs and supervises the overall twenty-four-hour-per-day operation of the assisted living facility
  • Ensures residents receive adequate care and services that meet the standards of our organization
  • Is readily accessible to meet with residents
  • Complies with the assisted living facility's policies
  • Ensures staff performs all duties with hospitality focus, meeting and exceeding resident requests and needs
  • Achieves operating margin and cash flow goals including budgeted revenue and expense goals
  • Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, supervises, supports, counsels, and develops management team
  • Ensures managers interview, hire, train, evaluate, supervise, support, counsel and develop staff appropriately
  • Actively participates in and encourages staff retention programs, including timely evaluations
  • Must be able to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, benchmark, and direct staff to ensure high quality resident care and services are delivered
  • Must ensure community is compliant with all Federal, State, local, requirements
  • Must ensure census goals are met
  • Must effectively supervise staff of 40+
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents
  • Must demonstrate effective people skills with staff, residents, families, vendors, and community
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must be knowledgeable of administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the residential services industry
  • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: daily leadership responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities, financial responsibilities, regulatory compliance, resident rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to our Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance training
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
