JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Support Specialist position described in this job summary is assigned to Plant Miller Compliance & Support Department. Responsibilities include general administrative support including, but not limited to the following:

  • Order office supplies
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Perform timekeeping and process employee expense reports for covered and non-covered personnel (Oracle & iExpense)
  • Actively support community activities
  • Schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings and plant-wide events
  • Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Maintain departmental record retention
  • Backup support for Training Coordinator/other Administrative Support Specialist
  • Support HR Business Partner as needed
  • Purchase departmental and plant gift cards
  • Prepare weekly on-call schedule
  • Order service awards, retirement, and safety gifts
  • Schedule and organize plant tours
  • Train Receipts
  • Gypsum and limestone tickets

Job Experience & Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two-year degree or vocational school/certification is preferred.
  • Administrative support experience is required.
  • Oracle, PeopleSoft, or other people management software experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience in administrative support including conference, travel and meeting arrangements, report preparation and calendar management is required.
  • Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems is preferred.
  • Experience working with union employees in a plant environment is preferred.
  • Extensive computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
