SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $48,134.11 to $78,859.72 for Schedule A, and $48,134.11 to $74,916.73 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The Morris Operations Division (Jury Management) is seeking a highly organized individual with excellent customer service, total quality management, technical competence, teamwork and written communication skills to provide effective assistance and accurate information. The selected individual will be expected to assist internal and external customers including judges, managers, court staff, attorneys, and outside agencies. Under the direction of the Court Executive 1b (Jury Manager) or other supervisory personnel, the successful candidate will display a high standard of ethical conduct; compose correspondence, reports and other written material that is clear, concise, and well organized, will be the lead for the team and keep the Jury Manager up to date on any progress, concerns etc. This individual will administer the Jury Management functions, including but not limited to summonses, jury orders, excusal, deferments, disqualifications, creating jury pools, processing jury payroll, interprets statistical reports from NJJMS, JMS and other systems. Some of the examples of duties are as follows: act as a liaison between Jury Management and other divisions such as Criminal, Civil and Finance; schedule jurors and ensure that all divisions juror needs are met; ensure zoom sessions and schedules are set and coordinated for jury selections; conduct Grand and Petit Juror orientation, communicates policies, rules, or regulations to staff and or team members; applies statutes and court rules to manage Petit and Grand Jury programs; advises management on issues with the public and other divisions and/or agencies; answer questions posed by judges, the public, clients, customers complaints co-workers, subordinates, or supervisors; determines appropriate services for summoned jurors; assisting the jury manager as needed; conducts Grand Jury Sessions in the absence of the Grand Jury Clerk(s); and perform other duties as needed.

**** Although this position is based in the Morris County Courthouse (Morristown, New Jersey) travel to the Sussex County Judicial Center (Newton, New Jersey) and other Judiciary locations is required. ****


REMOTE WORK
: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply. If selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than their start date.

Supplemental Information

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
