Salary

Salary Range: $47,830 - $59,560 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours per Week

Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions

Function: To lead a complex administrative function of a college with multiple reporting areas.
Scope: Responsible for the management of facilities and administrative matters and assisting executive level staff with administrative management of multiple reporting areas.

Typical:
  • Plans, develops, organizes, evaluates, and manages administrative operations and to maintain compliance with University, federal, state, and local government policies and procedures.
  • Use initiative and independent judgment to relieve one or more administrators of administrative matters and decisions. Assist administrators in establishing and attaining college goals and objectives.
  • Prepares documents and reports; reviewing and approving documents or other processes as needed.
  • Supervises the processing and maintenance of all administrative records; preparing reports; and serving as the representative/liaison for administrative matters.
  • Maintains administrative records; maintains technical set of documents and policies and procedures; provides analysis and interpretation internal processes and makes recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implements projects related to administrative needs of the college or special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Periodic:
  • Coordinates and manages key projects.



Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work independently and with program staff; ability to compile data and prepare routine reports.
  • Work under time constraints; proven teamwork experience; ability to explain information in an understandable manner; sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency using personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment.
  • Criminal Background Check (CBC).



Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management from an accredited institution.
  • Similar experience in administrative management.



Working Conditions

This position will be primarily located on the UTSA Main Campus.

Work Modality:

Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
