Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones and greet customers.
  • Assist customers in a prompt and timely manner at the counter, via email, and phone.
  • Create sales orders, transfers and RGA’s.
  • Keep Counter/Warehouse area clean and organized and all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Small project pricing and order processing.
  • Effectively quote, place, assemble and process orders.
  • Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
  • Proactively track orders in computer system for customer and processing efficiency.
  • Expand customer base and grow counter sales and profits.
  • General warehouse work, putting stock away, pulling will calls, and inventory preparations.
  • Safely operate all necessary equipment in the work area.
  • Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
  • Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
  • Preparation of all shipping documentation.
  • Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
  • Safely and accurately cut designated lengths of wire.
  • Address maintenance issues of wire cutting tools and machinery.
  • Ensure warehouse and equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Competencies:
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs.
  • Consider all aspects of selling including vendor relationships, profit and loss.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats with customers and coworkers.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks (i.e. margins)
  • Product and application knowledge essential.
  • PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience is a plus.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Position requires climbing of ladders or using forklift to reach top level selections.
