OPEN COMPETITIVE (ALL CANDIDATES)


The incumbent in this position provides administrative and clerical support to the Tacachale Emergency Management Coordinator. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the Emergency Management Plan is updated and submitted to Alachua County for approval by the deadline, working with department and facility managers to develop and expedite department-specific power point training for Emergency Management annually, working with Quality Management and Training staff to track Emergency Management training and ensuring results are up to date and available for regulatory review.


Schedules appointments and meetings for the Emergency Management Coordinator and the other Executive Management team members as warranted.


Serves on the Loss Control/Safety Committee and provides input to maintain a sound, proactive safety program to minimize and reduce accidents, injuries, other mishaps, and emergencies. The employee is expected to actively promote the center-wide safety program at meetings or events attended.


Provides backup clerical support for the Center's administration.


Compiles, establishes, and maintains all records, files, correspondence, and reports. Responsible for processing routine correspondence.


Completes, independently and with direction from the Quality Services Division Director, assignments, and special projects accurately and in a timely manner.


Operates the computer, printer, and photocopy/fax machine as required and provides technical assistance to others.


Maintains a tracking system for items requiring follow-up. Works with appropriate staff to ensure deadlines are met.


Orders and maintains office supplies to ensure the necessary supplies are readily available and not depleted. Assists with the ordering of computer supplies.

Attends all required in-service workshops and training sessions as needed or required.

Performs other related duties as required.

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035. This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
