ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – ATCO - SPRINGDALE, AR

POSITION SUMMARY

ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently hiring An Administrative Assistant in Springdale, AR to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to the Plant Manager, supervisors, and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate will be able to interact with employees at all levels, have strong customer service skills, excel at time management, and demonstrate resourcefulness to run an office environment efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain timekeeping records and process weekly employee payroll
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Coordinate meetings and take detailed minutes
  • Compose emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Arrange travel and accommodation
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
  • Answer and direct phone calls

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, fax, etc)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task competing priorities

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, (7:00AM – 3:30PM )

CLASSIFICATION

Salary – Non-exempt

Full-Time

TRAVEL

No travel is expected for this position

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant is highly preferred
  • High School degree or GED equivalent

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
