Who we are:

Leland House is a 45-day crisis stabilization and residential treatment program for youth who’ve experienced a severe behavioral or emotional challenge that’s interfering with daily living.

What we do:
We empower youth to overcome challenges through:
  • Individual, group, and family therapy
  • Medication management and weekly psychiatry sessions
  • Psycho-education and independent living groups; recreational and pet therapy
  • Social-skill development through experiential and project-based learning
  • Individualized academic instruction on SOL curriculum and IEP goals (led by onsite Fairfax County school teachers)
Who We Serve
We serve males, females, and gender-diverse youth ages 12-17 (at admission) who are demonstrating unsafe behaviors that require a crisis-stabilization placement. All youth must be a resident of Fairfax County, Fairfax City, or the City of Falls Church.
  • Trauma histories
  • Mood and anxiety disorders
  • Emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
  • Minimum IQ of 68 (with exceptions)


What we are looking for:

A Office Manager to provide administrative support to Leland House. Coordinate clerical and administrative duties of designated staff members. Provide accurate, timely and professional written and verbal communications and services related to tasks assigned.

  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures such as, but not limited to; typing, document processing, desktop publishing, flow of correspondence, filing, and other clerical/administrative services as assigned.

  • Responsible for submitting various monthly tracking reports to Fairfax County, such as the Leland Census, AED, and any other required documents.

  • Field and direct incoming phone inquiries regarding services provided by UMFS.

  • Read and route incoming mail and direct inquiries to appropriate sources.

  • Coordinate and make all arrangements for meetings and events, including set up, supplies and take down.

  • Conduct phone screens, schedule interviews, and provide residential background paperwork for applicants.


What you will need:

Two year certificate from college or technical school plus minimum of one year clerical/administrative experience; or a high school diploma and minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and skills. . Must be proficient in use of computers and office equipment, including Microsoft Office suite.
