JSSA is looking for a full time Administrative Assistant to help support the administrative operations of the Hospice program.Responsibilities:
- Answers Hospice related calls and directs callers appropriately
- Contacts field staff promptly to relay clinical concerns
- Provides basic information about hospice services
- Faxes all physician’s orders and re-certifications, tracks for timely return and enters receipt into the EMR
- Helps Clinical Managers with meeting rooms reservations
- Maintains and distributes staff listing of all contact information and addresses for the hospice department
- Enters HHA visits and Volunteer visits as requested, into the electronic database
- Reconciles select invoices as requested
- Provides back-up to the Medical Records Specialist for the ROI requests
- Maintains an adequate supply of start of care binders, their contents and other forms required for patient admissions and care
- Prepares outreach and in-service packets as requested
- Assists with other compliance and quality improvement activities
- Assist with other duties or special projects as assigned
- College degree preferable
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience - in a hospice or homecare setting preferred
- Excellent computer skills – proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Prior experience working with EMR systems
- Prior reception/customer service experience
- Strong organizational, written and oral communications skills
- Hourly rate range: 18.00-20.00 an hour
- Full Time schedule - Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm
