The Lehigh County Office of MH/ID/D&A has an open Administrative Assistant 2 position. Come join our team!
This employee will be responsible for the performance of complex clerical work which will require the utilization of a variety of computer applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Through the use of these applications, this individual will be responsible for the completion of letters, reports, contracts, agendas, minutes, annual plans, and other materials utilized by the Administrator or other management staff.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.- Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring Preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
