Job description
- Under general supervision of the program coordinator, independently preforms a variety of administrative and secretarial duties involved in the Operation of the Institutional Classification Section.
- Knowledge of office operations and general office procedures to make independent decisions concerning processing of information and materials that would assist classification.
- May be required to help support other areas as needed.
- Will work directly with inmates daily.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A High School diploma.
- Three (3) years of clerical experience;
- A Degree may be substituted for the work experience.
Requires extensive personal computer and CRT experience that includes but not limited to: Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
