Service Management Systems is Hiring an Admin. Assistant at Greater Clark County Schools in Jeffersonville, IN
Summary:Oversees administrative duties in large accounts, including processing payroll, pre-employment and new hire paperwork, status changes and disciplinary action; answering telephones and interacting with customers and employees; and maintaining operational and personnel documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
. Answers the department telephone, taking messages, forwarding calls and coordinating with callers, employees and SMS managers.
. Greets and screens visitors, as appropriate. Requires tact and diplomacy in dealing with variety of people.. Requires understanding of company policies and procedures.
. Requires research into various subjects on behalf of managers.
. Requires appropriate handling of complaints from customers and employees.
. Uses the computer to prepare Word and Excel documents in support of the operations, including documents such as work schedules, QA reports, disciplinary action forms and other operational or personnel documents.
. Uses the computer to process biweekly payroll through eTime and prepares required payroll reports.
. Assists in the preparation and processing of pre-employment and new hire paperwork for applicants and new employees.
. Assists with variety of employee matters including pay, benefits or personal needs.
. Performs secretarial and administrative support functions for managers, supervisors and staff

Requirements:
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedure and manuals. Ability to prepare variety of documents. Bilingual is a plus.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:Very good computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, Outlook.Certificates and Licenses:No certifications needed
