Spring Arbor Senior Living in beautiful Frederick, MD is actively seeking an Activity Director to be responsible for the planning, organization, and direction of the Assisted Living activity program. This program focuses on the wellness, spiritual development, recreation, educational development, and continued involvement in the community of all residents.

WHAT YOU WILL DO!

• Create, direct, and participate in activities for residents in the community as well as maintain records of resident participation
• Maintain and decorate activity room and bulletin boards for holidays, activities, and events
• Order supplies for activities and maintain a budget on expenses
• Market the community through activities
• Create and distribute monthly newsletter and activities calendar to residents, families and prospects and gather feedback from residents on activities / events
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and the Activity Assistants, where applicable

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with seniors preferably in activities
• Experience in Microsoft Office preferred
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Flexibility in scheduling to assist with weekend and evening programming for the residents
