Overview:

Mirabella Seattle is an enthusiastic Activity Director to help serve our wonderful residents and orchestrate our activities!

What you'll be doing:
  • Plans, coordinates and conducts group and individual activities in the Health Center, Special
    Care and Assisted Living.
  • The Activities Coordinator will provide residents with activity
    programming in a holistic manner to enhance their lives and promote individuality delivered
    through a person centered care philosophy.
  • Activity programming will support those with
    memory-impairing illnesses and provide memory stimulation, to improve eating/sleeping, to
    lessen wandering, restlessness and anxiety; improve socialization and cooperation; delay
    deterioration of skills and improve behavior management.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of therapeutic activity and life enrichment programs in compliance with regulations related to activity programming. You will ensure that each resident’s needs, limitations and preferences are evaluated and provide residents with corresponding activity programming in a holistic manner that supports a person centered care philosophy and a high quality of care.

Day to Day specific job duties:
  • Provide residents with individualized and group activities including the following:
    • Social- Games and Music
    • Motor Activities-Exercise, dancing, gardening, cooking
    • Crafts- Decorations
    • Outdoor Activities-Walking, field trips
    • Self Care Activities- dressing, personal hygiene, grooming
  • Teaching fitness programs.
  • Ordering supplies for the acitivities program.
  • Develops and maintains the activities calender.
  • Arrange outings and transportation for outings.
